During this time of uncertainty and trying to form a new normal, we have decided it’s in the best interest of the organization to reevaluate our mission and the ability to remain a viable organization for years to come. We have had to make difficult decisions that we realize may negatively affect staff, students, and some clients. With increased restrictions due to COVID-19 we cannot safely provide instruction to beginner level students while maintaining social distancing. We feel it is important for us to make these changes now so that we can better support our mission for years to come.
Therefore, the decision has been made to no longer offer Pony Up! and Riding Lesson effective immediately.
The goal of riding lessons at Hope Grows is to build strong, confident horsemen. Each riding lesson begins with the student grooming and tacking up their own horse. Instructors will work with students to develop quiet hands, a well-balanced seat, and all of the skills that are needed in the saddle. We emphasize safety for both horse and rider. Lessons available for ages 8 and up.
All beginner lessons will be private. Advanced riders may be placed into groups at the discretion of the instructor.
For our youngest riders, we offer the Pony Up! program. These half-hour lead line lessons, for riders age 5-7, teach the basics of riding, helping to build a safe and solid foundation.
