This page is in memory of those horses that have touched our lives.
Each brought their own unique qualities and charm to our farm, and
we miss them. Some have passed on and some have relocated to other
Judge, pictured here, was especially loved by all. Judge spent his early
life as a hard-working Plow Horse. He was saved from euthanasia by Heartsong Equine Rescue Organization (HERO) and Hope Grows was
lucky enough to acquire him in 2011, where he served as a wonderful
addition to our program. His docile nature made him ideal for
working with children of all ages. Judge is in retirement now,
living a peaceful life in Benson, Vermont.
Lenny is a 19-year-old chestnut quarter horse Arabian cross gelding; our "go to" guy for beginners as he is extremely consistent and caring toward his riders. Lenny enjoys all levels of riders and is capable of a walk, trot, and canter, lateral movement, and will also jump. Lenny also loves getting out and going for trail rides.
Megan: 9-year-old chestnut Belgian Hanoverian cross mare, bred by the Chauvin's. She is known for her couch-like ride and comfortable gaits. Megan is great for beginners but is also challenging enough for more advanced riders. She walks, trots, canters and jumps. Megan is learning her lateral movements and is working toward more advanced movements. Megan is also very steady on the trail.
13 year old flashy bay registered Arabian gelding, whom was rescued by the Chauvin's. He enjoys consistency in his rider, due to being a rescue. Sammy is gentle, kind, and very eager and willing to learn new things. He has rocking horse style movement to his gaits which makes him one of the most comfortable horses we have. Sammy is very light in the bridle, moves into contact, walk, trot, and canters, and is working on more advanced movement.

8-year-old bay registered Appendix Quarter Horse mare; western pleasure galore! Slow, steady jog, and a smooth comfortable canter. will move out and rides well English also. She walks, trots, and canters, has lateral movement, comes into contact, and has started jumping. Phoebe is perfect for beginners with her quiet personality but is also fun enough for an advanced rider.
7-year-old chestnut Appendix Quarter Horse mare; a true hunter's dream, will jump the moon with flawless effort! She walks, trots, canters, jumps, does lateral movement and lower level dressage. Great for beginners, but prefers a more advanced rider who can handle some of her stubborn red-headed sass!
10-year-old dapple gray registered Quarter Horse gelding. He walks, trots, and canters and goes English or Western. Floyd has more English style movement and is quite the flashy mover. He is starting to understand how nice it is to be spoiled. He loves the attention he is getting in the therapy program and is attentive to riders. Floyd is also a secure ride on the trail.
13-year-old bay registered Quarter Horse. This ex-reining mare has transitioned well into the therapy and lesson program. She is sweet and patient with easy going gaits.
9-year-old chestnut off-the-track Thoroughbred. This sweet gelding was retired from the track at age 6. He's settling nicely into his new career and loves all the pampering from the kids and adults.
14-year-old chestnut paint Spanish Mustang. This goofy gelding is best suitable for a patient more advanced rider. Cherokee enjoys activities that keep his mind busy such as obstacle courses and jumping. Cherokee is also steady on the trail.
23-year-old bay registered Warmblood. This dependable ex-jumping gelding has been enjoying semi-retirement being fully pampered by his leasee.
11-year-old bay paint Shetland Pony. This sweet and spicy little mare enjoys lots of love and is great for small children.
