Healing Nature of Horses, Introductory Workshop ~ Part I
September 8 & 9, 2018
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day
This 2 day workshop has been approved for 13 CEUs.

An experiential two day workshop for therapists, educators, life coaches, equine specialists,

and anyone who is interested in the ways

horses teach and heal us.

This introductory workshop, is designed for those who are interested in horse assisted education and therapy, may have tried it, but want to know more about working with the help of these incredible animals. This course provides 13 CEUs. (See Registration page for more information. Also acceptable as PATH Intl. and CBEIP continuing educations hours).

This workshop is a very hands-on pragmatic workshop, designed to provide tools that can help participants combine their education, and/or therapy skills with equine assisted mental health. We use lecture, discussion and hands-on experiences to explore the horses's nature and how we can help our clients and students partner with them to build healing and personal growth opportunities. Participants will receive theoretical and practical approaches to adding horse experiences to their work, and opportunities to design and participate in equine assisted sessions. In addition they will meet other professional who are ready to share their journey of equine assisted facilitation.

This workshop takes an eclectic look at how a variety of approaches can be combined into a safe and effective session or workshop. It is not based on any particular model of equine assisted therapy or education, and uses both mounted and ground activities. It is particularly helpful for people new to equine assisted education or therapy.
